Your escape room questions answered

It's my first time, what is an escape room?
Escape rooms offer an immersive themed adventure, where your team becomes an integral part of the narrative. While traditional scenarios revolved around escaping out of a trapped room in a certain amount of time, today’s escape rooms encompass a broader spectrum of challenges. During your experience, expect to encounter a range of puzzles and clues that your team will need to solve in order to win.
How long does it take?
The time it takes will depend on your team’s performance! The timeframe to complete the challenge is quite extensive. If you manage to escape quicker than the allocated time – that’s fantastic. Celebrate your collective cleverness! Brag about how good you are! Your team may even go onto the room’s leaderboard for the fastest teams to escape. If you do not finish within the time, don’t stress; you are not alone. Escape rooms are designed to challenge even the best teams, with many coming close but not all solving every puzzle in time.
Tips on finishing escape rooms:
- Choose your team wisely and know each player’s strengths and weaknesses;
- Listen carefully to the briefing;
- Search everything for clues/items;
- Communicate with your team what you are working on or stuck on;
- Listen to all opinions in your team as sometimes the unusual ideas are the answers to a puzzle;
- Be organised with resources;
- The answer is always in the room;
- Be mindful of time and ask for hints if needed.
How much do the escape rooms cost per person?
1 – 2 player bookings are $60 per person.
3 – 4 player bookings are $50 per person.
5 player bookings are $45 per person.
6 player bookings are $40 per person.

What to expect?
Please arrive ahead of your booking to complete waivers and finalise your account. We recommend using the restroom before the game begins. Before diving into the escape rooms, you’ll receive a comprehensive briefing on gameplay, followed by room-specific instructions to maximise your experience. Then, the adventure begins. If you emerge victorious, celebrate your success. If not, our Game Master will provide a debrief to help you understand what may have been missed.
Can the kids play without adult supervision?
We require at least one player over 18 within your group to supervise. This person will assume responsibility for the group’s actions during the experience.
Payments
Booking deposits are required to be made through our online booking system. The remainder of the booking can be paid on arrival. We accept EFTPOS/credit card payments only onsite.
Are the experiences made for children?
Depending on the theme, we have given each room a recommended age rating. Younger students are welcome to play, but it will be up to the discretion of the parents to choose what is suitable based on our recommended rating and the room description. You can view these room descriptions here.
Number of players per game
Every room specifies the team size, with a minimum (for some puzzles, collaboration is mandatory) and a maximum determined by the room’s capacity. You are welcome to add more players on the day, as long as it’s within the room’s maximum limit. Feel free to bring friends along, as we can accommodate last-minute additions.
Language and do I need my reading glasses?
All our rooms are in English. If you normally wear reading glasses, they can undoubtedly be helpful since some clues involve reading.
